Then you could be the new Control Systems Manager at Ballard Power Systems Europe A/S.
You will join the Technology and Product Development (T&PD) department based in Hobro, Denmark. You will be offered management responsibilities while supporting the expansion of a global sustainable organization focusing on hardware and software development processes.
You will report directly to the Vice President of Technology and Product Development based in Hobro and lead the teams of Electronic Hardware and Software. In addition, you will be working closely with the management team both in Hobro and Vancouver on the company's priorities and strategic goals related to the global controller development.
You will manage the Hardware and Software teams to support the strategic goals and organizational growth. You will manage the teams to work efficiently by growing technical capabilities, processes and technologies. In addition, you will:
- Assist in developing the strategy and execute on strategic goals
- Own and improve development processes within controls
- Implement/maintain agile processes and resource management
- Maintain internal reporting and monthly updates on progress in programs and capabilities
- Create and manage personal goals for the teams, direct reports and yourself
- Deliver technical support within the T&PD and identify opportunities to leverage external resources
In order to succeed as their Control Systems Manager, you will utilize acquired competencies within both hardware and software engineering in order to own technology roadmaps and lead the long term strategy within controls. In addition, you can offer the following qualifications:
- Strong technical background, preferably within embedded controllers, power electronics, software development or control automation.
- High level of understanding of CI/CD (Continuous integration and Continuous deployment)
- Strong people manager with the ability to motivate and build larger teams of 15+ engineers
- Structured, able to create an overview and follow through
- Ability to communicate goals clearly and get commitment from the team
- Excellent communication skills in English
