DRH Lindersvold – the Travelling School for Change – is a hub for innovative programmes where people from all walks of life have an opportunity to connect with like-minded people and train themselves to become agents of change within the areas of social pedagogy, planet protection and sustainable development programmes in the Global South. Currently, DRH Lindersvold offers three programmes: Pedagogy for Change (12 months of hands-on social pedagogy in Denmark), Volunteer for Change (10 months of training and practical action at a Humana People to People project) and Climate (6 months of training and practical action in Denmark and at Richmond Vale Academy in the Caribbean.)
Apart from sharing our values, you are social, outgoing and passionate about connecting with people and creating and maintaining networks. You like travelling, public speaking, attending conferences and finding ways to connect with people, educational institutions, and organisations. You can manage your own time, have a flair for social media, are keen to keep in touch with people, and create ideas for how the school and its partners can cooperate for mutual benefit.
Your job is to:
• create awareness about DRH Lindersvold’s programmes through outreach activities
• build a network of contacts or partners in three regions: Turin / Milano / Bologna in Italy. Lisboa, Coimbra and Porto in Portugal. Kaunas, Riga and Tartu in the Baltics
• visit the above-mentioned regions twice a year, on a ten-day public information and network-building tour where you will also host information meetings about the school’s programmes
• conduct follow-up meetings online, qualify people interested in enrolling and end up with their recruitment.
You will be part of a professional communications team dedicated to spreading the school's values and messages. The overarching aim is to fill the school with participants. In the periods when you are based at DRH Lindersvold in Faxe, Denmark.
You will:
• plan your next outreach trip
• follow up on leads and keep in contact with interested people
• keep in touch with our European network in different ways
• speak at educational institutions in Denmark
• attend relevant conferences and other events
• enjoy the beautiful surroundings, international atmosphere and humanitarian ethos at the Lindersvold school centre, where DRH Lindersvold is situated.
