As Research Project Manager you will coordinate the activities of project teams through the different early development stages; from idea phase, through research phase and until transfer of proven projects to R&D Manufacturing Development. The various stages cover proof of business and proof of concept, including molecule selection, product characterization and early process development. Your responsibility will be to: • Secure close collaboration with stakeholders, including line management, business development, manufacturing development, external collaborators, and customers.
• Break down project key deliverables in close collaboration with the project team.
• Plan and monitor the timing of project activities together with team members.
• Clearly and timely communicate project requirements.
• Drive Intellectual Property Rights and patent searches for new ideas.
Qualifications
To succeed in the role, we imagine that you have:
• Several years of experience with project coordination or management from pharma, biotech or similar; certifications within project management will be a plus.
• Scientific experience with protein purification (required) and characterization (preferred).
• Scientific knowledge within material science and polymer chemistry will be an advantage, as well as in-depth knowledge and experience with various chromatographic materials.
• Experience with tech transfer and manufacturing in GxP regulated facilities is a major advantage. • PhD in Biochemistry, Engineering, life-science, or another relevant scientific field You should be fluent in both written and spoken English. As a person you are structured and have the ability to maintain an overview in complex projects. You use your strong motivation and positive energy to drive your projects and engage with your colleagues. You are reliable and enjoy taking on a diverse set of tasks and can stay calm and make the right decisions in a dynamic work environment. We are 38 employees in the R&D department consisting of Principal Scientists, Research Scientists and Laboratory Technicians. You will become a part of the Research team which consists of 13 dedicated employees that develop and supply novel materials for manufacturing of therapeutic proteins in the biopharmaceutical industry. We work in close collaboration with our customers to develop optimal purification solutions for new and existing molecules used for the treatment of many different conditions. We have a work environment that is relaxed, creative and is characterised by our growth mindset.
