Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of smart metering solutions with headquarters in Stilling south of Aarhus. Our ambition is to turn meter data into insight to help utility companies optimise their production and distribution of energy and water and was in 2022 awarded with the innovation prize by Dansk Industri (DI). Kamstrup’s water business is undergoing rapid development, which means that the requirements and demands for our smart solutions targeting the water industry are growing. We are therefore looking for a Solution Architect, who can contribute to the development of our future solutions.
With direct reference to our Head of Solution Architecture, you will become a part of our Solution Architect team consisting of 10 dedicated colleagues. Together we are responsible for developing IT architecture suited for our customers’ needs. We strive to set the technical agenda in Kamstrup, why we work with some of the newest technologies. Therefore, we are working towards a microservice based application landscape, and you will play a key role in this transformation. Kamstrup has been working with smart metering and IoT for several years, and most of what we develop is centered around being an expert in this area.
A job with focus on architecture and new technologies
As a Solution Architect you will have the responsibility for designing a coherent system from the meter to the customer facing interfaces. You will get the opportunity to focus on different areas in the system, and become an expert in e.g. streaming technologies, transmission of data, API design, data platform, and security.In the role, you will be designing and developing new customer solutions. You will be involved in the full design life cycle from idea to the final adaptation.
As a Solution Architect, you will also play a central role in developing our organization towards continuous delivery and DevOps, and you will use your strong take on code quality, best practices, patterns etc. to relentlessly drive an improvement in code quality, developer experience and efficiency.

You are fluent in English both written and oral. Danish is an advantage.

- Plan and drive a continuous development and adaptation of the architectural vision for Kamstrup’s software solutions together with other Architects and Product Management
- Take lead on discussions regarding architectural abstractions, principles, frameworks etc.
- Ensure a continuous improvement agenda in terms of automizing tasks and improve software architecture to support efficient development of common tasks
- Coaching and educating developers on coding practices, patterns, way-of-working etc.
- Lead the adoption of new technologies in our software
Personality matters

- A professional background in Engineering, Computer Science or similar
- At least 2 years of experience as a Senior Software Developer
- Expertise within transforming insights in software development and bridge the business strategy with our architecture
- Experience with domain driven design and microservice based architecture
