Quantity Surveyor for TPR

For our project, which is Northern Europe’s biggest construction project resulting in the longest immersed tunnel in the world, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor for activities related to Tunnel, Portal and Ramps (TPR).

The role of the Quantity Surveyor is to monitor and prepare the valuation of claims and variation orders with a close collaboration of internal stakeholders (Claim Managers, Cost Controllers, Risks managers) to ensure all requirements of the owner, subcontractors, technical and commercial are captured.

Who is FLC?

Femern Link Contractors, FLC, is the joint venture responsible for the design and construction of the immersed tunnel, tunnel portals and ramps. Our joint venture consists of nine international construction companies with individual experience in large infrastructure projects.

Main responsibilities (but not limited to):

• The role of the Quantity Surveyor will include close liaison with the owner’s staff to demonstrate that the specific requirement enabling the owner to authorise payment of claims and variations orders have been met. Typically, this is through the gathering of document submission datas in a close collaboration with internal stakeholders (cost control / finance & invoicing) databases.
• The Quantity Surveyor is expected to continually monitor correspondences about changes, from various internal stakeholders and the owner and follow-up with actions in respect of valuation of cost and time.

Qualifications:

• Candidate is expected to have +7 years exposure to major construction or infrastructure projects in the construction industry, working for a major contractor and to have a basic technical knowledge.
• You have a methodical approach and superb interpersonal skills. You are not only great at analyzing costs, but also know how to read people and tailor their negotiation strategies to ensure the best possible outcome.
• Excellent oral and written skills in German and English is requested. Oral communication skills in Danish is an advantage.
• To ensure success, the candidate will need to be flexible, well organised and self-motivated.
• As a person you are friendly and service oriented, a genuine team player. You have a 'can do' attitude and remain positive and resilient under pressure.

Work location:

Rødbyhavn/Copenhagen/Femern. Travelling between the various sites are required.
