Global Medical Affairs, Cardiovascular and Other Serious Chronic Diseases is located just outside Copenhagen in Søborg, Denmark, and consists of 3 teams covering Alzheimer’s disease and cardiovascular diseases. In Global Medical Affairs we are responsible for building and delivering consistent scientific communication across all phases of clinical trials. We focus on working with engagement, respect, and a good and open atmosphere. We focus on learnings through a workday with interesting tasks and on personal development. Other Serious Chronic Disease including Alzheimer’s disease is a growing area within Novo Nordisk. At present we have initiated phase 3 trials investigating semaglutide for treatment of early Alzheimer’s disease. The position
We are looking for a Medical Doctor with interest in Alzheimer’ disease. As a Global Medical Manager for Alzheimer’s Disease, you will be part of a team of highly motivated and talented Medical Doctors with clinical, research and/or pharmaceutical experience, who are passionate about drug development, medical and scientific education and communication. We offer the opportunity for you to use your medical experience, your analytical skills and your creativity towards new innovative treatments that will make a difference for people suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease. As a Global Medical Manager, you will provide timely, accurate and credible scientific and medical input for a variety of projects. Your tasks will involve close collaboration with various cross-functional stakeholders including colleagues from global development, regulatory, safety, marketing, market access and other functional areas in HQ as well as globally. Another important part of the job is to engage in dialogue with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in different settings with focus on medical and scientific information to help optimise both product development and treatment of patients. With a background as a Medical Doctor, you will provide medical input to clinical trial development and at later stages you will drive the scientific dialogue based on the results from these trials. You will play a key role in developing publications based on our clinical trial results which requires ability to interact with external authors, statisticians, medical writers and other stakeholders. You will also advise and drive development of internal and external medical guidance and educational materials. You will be expected to present data both internally and externally and to participate in international conferences and scientific meetings. In addition to this, you will provide medical guidance to various teams that are actively involved in developing Novo Nordisk's global marketing and market access strategies, and other legal and medical aspects. Qualifications
You are a Medical Doctor with at least 4 years of experience in clinical medicine or research or from pharmaceutical industry. If you have previous pharmaceutical industry experience and/or experience in clinical medicine or research within Alzheimer’s disease it would be an advantage. A Ph.D. degree is considered a plus but is not mandatory. You have good presentation skills, are extroverted, and results oriented, you thrive in a setting with a high level of complexity and have solid problem-solving capabilities and a positive attitude. You have excellent collaboration and communication skills and are fluent in professional English. You should expect international travel of approximately 20% every year. Working at Novo Nordisk
