The Position In this position you will be responsible for driving Business with Science in a modern medical affairs role by planning and implementing the Alzheimer’s Disease launch medical strategy. Part of your key responsibilities entail: Having the strategic ambition for medical and scientific affairs in Region North West Europe (NWE), aligned with our strategic imperatives for the development of therapy area. Ensuring cross-functional collaboration and direction setting in Region NWE; (clinical, market access, commercial, etc), leading the Product Development working group, represent medical and scientific affairs in “Therapy Area Triangle” (i.e. cross-functional team with commercial and external affairs). Representing the NWE region in medical European/Global spheres. To facilitate internal and external medical and scientific stakeholder engagement, with thought leaders, professional associations and organisations in the therapy area. To possess medical and scientific expertise and drive strategic medical/scientific initiatives for Region NWE, with direct and clear influence on course of actions and results. Qualifications In order to be successful in this role you: Hold an M.D. (preferred), PhD and/or M.Sc. in a relevant scientific field, ideally with experience of Alzheimer’s Disease or other relevant therapeutical areas within the Neurology-Neurodegenerative field. Have business, medical affairs and leadership experience. Have experience with product launches, as well as project management skills and the ability to handle various projects efficiently at the same time. Have an interest in evidence implementation – i.e., going beyond academic papers and guidelines towards changing the lives of patients by implementing evidenced-based healthcare. Have a mindset towards “getting things done” in collaboration with internal and external partners, with a proven strong stakeholder management experience. About the Department The Clinical, Medical & Regulatory (CMR) department is one of the key functions that enable the business strategy through effective execution of functional goals, in the areas of Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory.
