The position As our new valued colleague in Investment | Engineering & Sourcing your working day could look like this: You start the day in a meeting with one of your key suppliers informing you and other key stakeholders about a new packaging machine which will be 15% more efficient however using new technology. Since the team constantly is scouting for new technologies that can drive the future, other new findings and trends are shared and discussed. Afterwards it is time for the daily team touchpoint where you have a power break session with light stretching exercises. Besides moving your body, a little, you look very much forward to catching up with your colleagues and sharing the exciting news you received this morning. Thereafter you have a meeting with a supplier that recently installed a new packaging machine at one of our existing production facilities. The project owner from that Novo Nordisk production site is also joining and is not satisfied with the work that has been performed as capacity on the machine is 10% below requirements. The supplier is surprised as they tested the functionality as part of the site acceptance test. As the bridge between the external supplier and our internal customers you manage to agree a path forward with the production and the supplier. You all agreed that the supplier will send a team at the earliest possible time to determine what is causing the lack of performance. Afterwards you have a meeting with Novo Nordisk legal department regarding some comments from a US supplier regarding a contract under negotiation. You round off the day with your quarterly cross functional category team to discuss the latest trends in the company. Based on the discussion there seems to be an unfavorable price development and hence you decide to block your calendar to do some analysis later this week regarding the price development in your top three subcategories by spend. As our new colleague your main responsibilities will be:

Responsibility for a category group, which implies driving a cross-functional group with technical experts and project managers to capture latest and future trends in the category strategy

The category covers equipment and services necessary to construct and maintain production sites and other Novo Nordisk facilities

One-point-of-contact for specific suppliers and internal customers with purchasing needs from your category

Constantly optimising processes, sourcing and/or supplier relationships

Tender and contract handling for large investment projects

Maintaining data within your category including making and/or updating frame agreements which is a recurrent activity

Qualifications To thrive in this role you have:

Relevant work experience within procurement or trading of minimum 8 years

You are curious to expanding your knowledge within sourcing and supply chain disciplines as well as technical topics

Some process optimisation experience along with cross functional leadership skills and ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all organisational levels

Full proficiency in English

Excellent stakeholder management skills as you will have interactions on senior level within Novo Nordisk and up to CEO level within the supply base
