About the department You will be joining Aseptic Production (AP) Expansions, an area anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 50,000 employees. We are a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and built all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our aseptic production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. AP Expansions has a clearly global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.
The position
As Mechanical Lead Engineer in Aseptic Production (AP) Expansions, Tech & Innovation, you will be anchored in the Global Engineering and Facility department located in Gentofte Project Office. Your workplace will be key to support new production sites in Denmark, USA, China, France and more. In this position you will support the development and implementation of new factories on a mechanical level, including equipment in both Clean & industrial Utility together with skilled colleagues.
Besides, you will be responsible for:
• Supporting the team in any means regarding Engineering Standards, Components, organization and more
• Streamlining design in multiple locations for future efficiency in technical development
• Coordinate piping- mechanical standards across 3 continents
• Setting technical guidelines for designs many years ahead As factories progress and become production units your position could also transfer into a supporting role for the sites in regards of maintenance, development & more. As this is a global project, short-term travel is expected to engage with our partners and stakeholders abroad. Qualifications
We are looking for someone that has experience with implementation of equipment in a GMP controlled environment, such as working with or using required documentation documents.
To succeed in this role, you have:
• An academic degree in mechanical engineering or a technical education with relevant experience
• +5 years’ experience within with piping-mechanical engineering
• Strong technical skills within piping and mechanical designs
• Capable in leading designs also trough stakeholders and partners
• Experience in using CAD software and have hands-on experience in designing prototypes for testing and retrofitting current mechanical systems for improvements
• An excellent command of verbal and written English On a personal level, you are a naturally curious and independent individual with a goal-oriented and entrepreneurial spirit. You're genuinely fascinated by the latest technological advancements and use your creativity to design robust mechanical solutions that streamline production and effect change on the factory floor.
