Then you might join our leadership team as an Associate Manager and together ensure our daily operations and future productions. The position You will join a dynamic area preparing for taking in more exciting development projects and brand-new production facilities to raise the capacity for the supply of the oral portfolio. Further, we are working diligently with digitalization and automation in our facilities and workflows. You will be a part of the leadership team of Cultivation Pilot Plants (CPP), consisting of five Associate Managers an Assistant, and a Director. As an Associate manager for ‘CPP Recovery’ where you set a clear direction for your team. You will be based on-site, visible, and easy to approach and you will be able to communicate clearly and effectively both with your team and with your stakeholders. Your team is one of two recovery teams and is going to consist of 15 employees (scientists and technicians) who are going to test the brand new facility and run it, when it is built in 2024. This means that you are going to build your team and when we are ready, your tasks in the team will be to prepare, conduct, and report API production campaigns in close collaboration with the Development and Production areas of Novo Nordisk. In this job, you will have opportunities to grow personally and professionally by developing your leadership competencies and being part of establishing new facilities while keeping the current production running. Further, you can look forward to exciting projects covering new technology, and digitalization as well as being involved in various investment initiatives and projects. Qualifications To succeed in this position, you have: • Master’s degree or PhD in science/technology, biochemical/chemical engineering, pharmacy, or other relevant fields. • Have several years of experience in people management, ideally within a development or production environment. • Passion for setting directions, motivating, and developing team members. • Have a proficiency for Danish, both written and spoken On a personal level, we expect you to be an ambitious and performance-oriented leader, that finds simple solutions to complex challenges. You demonstrate strong communication skills, take responsibility for developing others and you motivate your employees by being inspiring engaging. About the department The position is in the department of Cultivation Pilot Plants and part of Chemistry Manufacturing and Control (CMC) API Pilots. CMC API Pilots is a part of the R&D organization, that manufactures and controls new drug substance candidates for the development portfolio at Novo Nordisk. Cultivation Pilot Plants is a department that cultivates and purifies proteins and peptides, for use in clinical and non-clinical trials. The department consists of two separate production facilities with four production lines in total. In the department, we work with various technologies and equipment depending on whether the cultivation is based on yeast, E. coli or mammalian cells, and on how the recovery process is designed (i.e. centrifugation, filtration, chromatography etc.). While we need to ensure efficient production capacity, we also have an eye on the future, making sure that we utilize the opportunities technology provides, i.e. automation and robot technology.
