The positionWe are looking for a skilled academic for a permanent position as analytical support chemist in the team supporting the analytical methods. The team consist of 1 GMP coordinator, 7 academics, 9 lab/techs and 1 team leader.The team is responsible for support to app. 30 chemical analytical methods (primarily HPLC). The support is both on existing well-known methods and on new methods for new drug products.As analytical support chemist you will be responsible for daily support to the laboratory technicians, who perform and approve the analytical results. Besides you will, by a systematic approach, make sure our methods are performing as efficient as possible with lowest lead-time. You are eager to drive optimizations wherever possible. As we work under GMP requirements, Change Requests, SOP updates, laboratory investigations and deviation handling are a natural part of the job.Your main stakeholders are colleagues in the department performing the analysis, other QC departments, QA and Regulatory Affairs.In Novo Nordisk we are on a journey of digitalizing our QC laboratories, by introducing automated processes and connecting laboratory equipment to LIMS, in order to support a paperless future. In the moment the department is working on an automated HPLC sample preparation and on an automated samples storage facility. You are expected to contribute to this journey by being curious on new and innovative solutions and secure successful implementation.
Qualifications To succeed in this role, we expect you to have: A scientific academic degree such as cand. scient., cand. pharm., chemical engineer, or similar. Working experience as analytical academic on techniques as HPLC, pH, microscopy is an advantage, as well as working with GMP. Strong communication skills both in spoken and written Danish and English. The capacity to enjoy technical writing. You have a positive mind-set and can keep it in all situations, especially in the context of a changing environment with ambitious deadlines. Furthermore, we expect that you can work independently, are highly motivated and that your positive mind-set will impact your cooperation with the team and external colleagues, whilst you are willing to provide support to others. About the department The chemical QC is a department in Injectable Finished Products (IFP) Manufacturing Development, which consists of 50 employees, organized in 3 teams. We are physically placed in Bagsværd. The department is responsible for a wide variety of chemical analysis on diabetes finished products (primarily HPLC), covering release, ID, stability, validation and customer complaint samples.
