About the department The OSCD Early Portfolio & Insights (EP&I) area sets the commercial direction for Novo Nordisk’s future drug portfolio within Other Serious Chronic Diseases: cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and NASH/liver disease. The EP&I area consists of departments covering New Product Planning, Competitive Intelligence, Customer Insights, and Forecasting. Within EP&I, the NPP department has the commercial responsibility for the early portfolio of projects across the different therapeutic areas. You will join a team of five experienced business professionals like yourself and you will work in collaboration with the broader NPP team across all of Novo Nordisk’s strategic areas. The position
Your key tasks will be to work within the project team of a drug candidate to develop the target product profile, collecting primary and secondary data on market conditions, and shape the data into actionable recommendations. This is a great opportunity to make your impact on a truly global scale by:
  • Coordinating the commercial input for the Product Development Plan and create financial valuations of assets as they prepare to enter Phase 2 clinical development
  • Working with the broad NPP team to deliver the annual value assessment of the development portfolio
  • Working on a variety of ad hoc commercial assessments that provide senior management with insights on long-term trends in our key markets
  • On a daily basis, you will work in a global context but interact primarily with headquarter function across a diverse network of internal colleagues from Research & Development, Commercial, Global Evidence & Patient Access, Strategic Finance, and Product Supply. You will report to the Vice President of OSCD Early Portfolio & Insights. You should expect up to 10 travel days per year.

    Qualifications
    As an ideal candidate, you have:
  • Master’s degree in business or economics, or a scientific master’s degree with the addition of a business degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial and/ or scientific functions within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with a proven ability to translate analysis into insights and recommendations
  • Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication skills
  • It is an advantage to have previous experience working in:
  • Cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, neurology, eye diseases, or cell therapies / curative therapies
  • Brand teams
  • Key parts of the drug development value chain
  • On the personal side, we expect you to have excellent interpersonal skills, as this position requires you to work across multiple stakeholders in the company. You have a track record of delivering in high quality and finding new ways of achieving goals. You are pro-active and innovative and inspire ways of working smarter and taking team performance to a higher level, and have demonstrated the ability to work individually as well as part of a team on multiple projects in parallel.
