Event Adjudication Professional – 18-month temporary position with possibility of extension
Event adjudication is an important part of conducting clinical trials at Novo Nordisk. Key to success in Event Adjudication is the ability to drive collaboration with Clinical Research Organisations (CROs), understand internal stakeholder needs and to have a strong process mindset. We are looking for an Event Adjudication Professional with knowledge of clinical trials and flair for project management to join our great team.
The Position
As an Event Adjudication Professional you will drive event adjudication activities in selected clinical trials.
In this role you will be:
setting up the comprehensive processes for event adjudication
overseeing CRO performance and keeping an ongoing overview of event progress by tracking in reports and business intelligence tools
working closely with stakeholders from e.g., Medical & Science, Data Management, Trial Management and CROs
handling process issues that may arise
driving closure activities & archiving
providing input to optimisation projects in the department
Event adjudication is a data driven process that extends across a multitude of both internal and external IT systems. We use business intelligence tools for visualising data to maintain oversight of the process. This means that using and providing input to the improvement of IT systems is an integral part of all roles in our area.
Your Qualifications
You hold a master’s degree, preferably within biomedical sciences, technical sciences or similar. You have experience within the clinical trial landscape, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and project management. Experience with working with CROs is an advantage.
The job requires proficiency in English, and in addition good communication, coordination and planning capacities and a quality mind-set
You are skilled with MS Office; you find it easy to master new IT systems and are used to working with databases and reporting tools
You are proactive and show initiative, in a working day where you sometimes work independently and sometimes in a team
You have excellent collaborative skills and a high degree of flexibility.
As a person you are open-minded, dynamic, and eager to learn new processes and have a positive attitude to challenges

About the department
The Event Adjudication area consists of three departments with a total of 26 highly engaged team members from various academic backgrounds. We establish and execute procedures for setting up, conducting, and closing event adjudication activities on clinical trials. We work in a fast-paced environment on an increasing number of trials in the late-stage clinical development, where adverse events require adjudication.
Event adjudication is a process where an independent review board of medical specialists assesses relevant adverse events for fulfilment of pre-defined clinical criteria, with the purpose of generating high quality data for our clinical trials. The process is driven out of the department in close collaboration with internal stakeholders as well as external CROs.
The Event Adjudication department is part of Safety Operations, one of the functional areas in Global Safety based in Søborg. We have an informal office culture where humour and good relations are valued as we believe it promotes collaboration, conversation, and teamwork, which is essential in our job.
