The role as Project Manager offers a great opportunity to be part of a winning team and be a strong enabler in shaping the success of our increased focus on Project Logistics. You will be part of a new build Global team as desire to deliver best in class service, effective communication, cost awareness and continuous performance which supports our growth aspirations and the success of our customers within Project Logistics.
The position will be located in Aarhus.
Key responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will be a part of a team of 210 experienced colleagues in the Maersk Project Logistics product, where we strive to deliver the best service for our customers. The position is newly established and require an entrepreneurial mindset.
Together with the Wind & Renewable Energy team you will play a key role in designing tailor-made logistics solutions and coordination of various projects for our customers as well as being part of our accelerated growth within our segment.
You will be working with all aspects in the project forwarding industry including:
- Executing transport and logistics solutions for complex wind projects, on & Offshore
- Manage all operational and documentation aspects of the project(s)
- Daily vessel and truck and movement update
- Procuring and evaluating offers from sub-contractors
- Daily contact with vessel owners & port agents
- Travelling both locally and globally
We are looking for
Our ideal candidate is innovative, self-driven person with a can-do attitude, well organized with good stakeholder management skills in a complexed working environment. You work well with challenging situations and enjoy in having project responsibility. We value our unique team and are looking for someone who shares our vision of teamwork being the backbone of all we do.
The ideal candidate has:
- You have minimum two years’ experience working in forwarding/logistics, with preferable experience in wind business
- Experience with MPP /Heavy Lift /Project cargo vessel transport management
- It could also be you have a different background from another industry, and you want to try using your experience and skills in a different industry.
- You can work in a structured and organized way, but also keep an innovative mindset
- You are a team player, but can also carry out assignments independently
- You are responsible, hardworking and energetic
- Interested in working with different cultures around the world
- Ability to travel to various locations of execution.
- Fluent in both written and verbal English – other language skills are welcome
