About the department Early Clinical Pharmacology is an area in Research and Early Development. As an integrated part of Global Translation, we are scientifically and operationally responsible for designing, planning and execution of early Clinical Pharmacology studies in new and exciting therapeutic areas across the Novo Nordisk portfolio. The area consists of engaged and highly skilled colleagues working in a flexible, and cross-functional setting. We collaborate and share knowledge to benefit each other and ultimately the patients. Our team is expanding, and we are looking for great people with different competencies and experience levels. The position As a Clinical Pharmacology Scientific Director, you will be responsible for and challenge the early clinical pharmacology strategies for projects. You will be involved in scientific strategies across different areas, be part of safety decision makings and represent early clinical pharmacology in cross-functional project teams. In the job you will: Be responsible for early clinical pharmacology strategies Be responsible for the design of first human dose and early clinical pharmacology trials and prepare trial synopses Be part of the Global Project Teams Interact with Health Authorities and investigators Be involved in interpretation and reporting of trial results Collaborate with many internal and external stakeholders Support development of scientific and clinical pharmacology competencies internally Have an excellent opportunity to increase your competencies within early drug development while contributing to building fit-for-purpose processes and procedures Qualifications We are looking for a candidate with these qualifications: M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences complemented by a PhD Experience in early drug development Expert knowledge within Clinical Pharmacology in drug development and a solid value chain understanding Experience with health authority interactions A strong scientific mindset combined with clinical drug development In-depth understanding of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and biomarkers Experience in managing cross-functional global teams in a dynamic environment Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high-performing colleagues Proficient in spoken and written English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Working at Novo Nordisk At Novo Nordisk, we don’t wait for change.
