Group Procurement is Topsoes centralized procurement unit with global responsibility, and we now offer a position as Senior Lead Buyer – partly in Lyngby and partly in Herning where the job will be within a year.
Group Procurement have the responsibility to initiate, govern and implement efficient and effective procurement activities across Topsoe, and have a strong focus on continuously improving the cost picture as well as add value to the stakeholders to free up resources for exciting and significant growth opportunities in the company. Category Management is a key process to sustain the way of working.

An attractive position as Senior Lead Buyer for Indirect Procurement for Maintenance, Repair and Operation (MRO) and Buildings & Facility Management (FM) Categories to support Production Operations in Herning and to support the green transformation of Topsoe towards the strategic company vision of being recognized as a global leader in carbon emission reduction technologies in 2024. As Senior Lead Buyer of MRO and FM, you will be responsible for driving and supporting tactical and operational procurement activities in corporation with the Category Managers.
You will be part of Indirect Procurement with 13 motivated employees, that together with colleagues from Direct and Technical Procurement deliver strong and sustainable results to Topsoe. Topsoe are focused on becoming a best-in-class procurement team using category management, proactive approach towards stakeholders and ambitious goals for value contribution to Topsoe.

Lyngby and Herning. In the beginning you will work from HQ in Lyngby with a possibility to work from home 1-2 days a week. From the beginning of 2024 you will primarily be working from the new plant in Herning.

As Senior Lead Buyer of MRO and FM, you will be responsible for driving and supporting tactical and operational procurement activities in corporation with the Category Managers.

Your responsibilities
- Plan and manage the tactical and operational procurement activities within the guidelines
- Work in collaboration with stakeholders
- Ensure that projects are delivered at the right time and the right cost
- Identify and drive sourcing initiatives on the projects
- Support implementation of category management initiatives
- Negotiate general terms and conditions and ensure good collaboration with selected suppliers
- Ensure that approved suppliers meet Topsoe standards in regards to economy, social responsibility, environment and business integrity
- Support the use of IT tools within Global Procurement.
You
- demonstrate in-depth knowledge of procurement and global sourcing
- have a business diploma in procurement or similar
- have 3-5 years of experience from a regional/international organization, within purchasing or other relevant function with documented results
- have excellent commercial and financial understanding
- have project management experience and excellent communication skills
- have international experience and understand cultural differences
- are used to and enjoy working with operational and tactical procurement tasks and projects
- are a skilled SAP and eSourcing user and understand the benefit of structures and processes
- enjoy working with stakeholders in all parts of the organization and stakeholders enjoy working with you
- speak and understand Danish and English
- are living within commuter-range from Herning and are ready to have quite a few days in Lyngby in the first year
