About this opportunity


You will be part of Business Solutions in Nordea Asset Management, Operations and Technology, where we combine business competencies with IT skills. Our unit primarily cater large data warehouse used in our Client, Fund and Management Reporting.

What you will be doing:

  • Analyse, plan, design and develop solutions that support data flows and business processes
  • Help the business with auditing of input data.
  • Be the Python contact person and trainer/coach to ramp-up Python skills and expertise among business analysts in Nordic middle offices
  • Improving our internal workflows

You will be part of an experienced team working in an Agile development environment, aiming to service our client focusing colleagues with the best possible tools and service. The role is based in Copenhagen, Christiansbro. This position requires traveling between Nordic countries on weekly basis.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

  • This profile will require training skills as well as Python development skills. You will be expected to facilitate trainings and educate internal business stakeholders using Python
  • You are outgoing, service minded and flexible when needed and thrive in an environment that at times can be hectic but requires you to keep calm and maintain the overview
  • You have excellent training/coaching skills, good development skills and a practical approach to problem solving as our development is done in iterative loops in close co-operation with our stakeholders

Your experience and background:

  • Database programming in Python (e.g. SQL alchemy, PyODBC or similar)
  • Test driven development (using the Python 'unittest' framework or an alternative to produce automated tests of the code developed)
  • CICD with Python applications. Using a tool such as Bamboo/Jenkins/TeamCity to automate the build, test and release of code
  • Deploying Python applications to a production environment
  • Architecture and development experience from systems with timeseries calculations in Pandas
  • Experience with TSQL in Microsoft SQL server and 2 years of experience with SSIS will be considered an advantage
  • GIT experience will be considered an advantage
