We are looking for a strategic thinker with both deep technical experience and skills, as well as a technology focused strategic mindset. This role needs to take the Core banking business system vision and portfolio of services and map this to the required Technology enablers, infrastructure capabilities and define the full technology stack to host, test, deliverand support these core banking services. The CBP N-Core system is the future core banking platform for Nordea in all four Nordic countries.

We are now looking for a Chief IT Infrastructure Specialist to join this leadership team and lead the architects, designers and builders of this technology capability that is hosting the next generation digital core for Nordea: N-Core core banking platform. This team also manages the fully developed Agile pipeline engine, that provides a fully managed code and configuration service for N-Core, all the way into Production.

Welcome to the CBP Technology & Infrastructure (T&I) team. We add value by building, maintaining and supporting all the IT technology that is enabling the next generation ditital banking platform of Nordea. As the Chief IT Infrastructure Specialist for T&I Foundation , you’ll play a critical role to lead on value driven strategy, driving the vision for, the creation of and the delivery of the IT systems and infrastructure for the Nordea Core Banking Platform and its related system stacks.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Realise target architecture through a value driven IT strategy based on Core Banking Enabler Epics and Enabler Capabilities
  • Analyse, map and document the required Information Systems and Platform Enabler Epics and Capabilities
  • Lead and participate in IT systems and IT infrastructure designs, following Nordea architecture governance
  • Develop and maintain architecture roadmaps for Core Banking Technology and Infrastructure
  • Work with Product Management and Release Train Engineers to initiate and drive delivery of technology solutions
  • Proactively guide, implement and govern architectural principles, best practices and common change initiatives in own area to secure high quality in IT solutions
  • Lead and participate in frequent reviews on IT solutions against value driven IT strategy

You’ll join the Core Banking T&I Foundation technology specialist ART (Agile Release Train). The role is based in the Nordics.

Your experience and background: (Would need familiarity in a number of these technical areas)

  • Temenos T24 core banking platform
  • Platforms as a Service (Cloud-ready platform hosting)
  • IT Infrastructure deployment and maintenance
  • Database principles and concepts (ORACLE preferred)
  • Integration principles, technologies and concepts (OSB, MQ, WebLogic or similar)
  • Data platforms and streaming (Hadoop / Kafka)
  • Operating systems (RedHat Enterprise Linux, or similar and Windows Server)
  • Networking (CISCO)
  • Load balancing technology (Citrix NetScaler / F5 or similar)
  • Security (JWT, client certificates, and OpenID Connect)
  • Microservices and containerization
  • Agile methodology and practices (SAFe preferred)
  • Storage and mass storage management (HNAS or similar)
  • Development background, with a preference for system scripting or coding (JAVA preferred)
  • Source code repository and version control (git or similar)
  • Continuous integration and development pipelines (source code pipeline setup and support)
  • Config as Code and Infrastructure as Code (Codify configuration management)
