CORE A/S was founded in 1999 at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. The company delivers advanced control software for manufacturers of animal by-products. CORE is originally a spin-off company from Niels Bohr Institute and today the company is 49% owned by Haarslev Industries A/S, which is the manufacturer and leading supplier of machines for the same industry.

CORE's patented control technology gives customers high energy savings as well as increased capacity and yield. CORE has installed control software in Europe, Russia, Australia, USA and South America.

CORE has ambitious growth targets, among others in USA. Therefore we are seeking a Project Sales Manager to expand the market in the US, working out from our office in Kansas City.

The job
You are an important factor in creating the optimal development of CORE in our growth. This will take place in close cooperation with Haarslev's global network of sales channels.

As our Project Sales Manager, you will initially undergo an in-depth learning period, and you will be responsible for building, maintaining and developing your own customer portfolio in the US.

After your start-up period, you must be able to analyze the customer's optimization potential and put together the right offer, as well as prepare a plan for project progress and budget. You will also have to participate in your project's steering group, thereby ensuring that schedule and budget are complied with.

The role implies all the general aspects of a Sales Manager's role in which you must work to attract, develop and maintain your own customers. A solution-oriented sales process is followed, which typically goes through all phases of project sales - from processing of leads, booking of meetings, customer meetings, analyzation and TCO calculations, presentation and offer preparation, follow-ups, negotiation, project management, etc.

You will collaborate across departments and countries. And you will be responsible for realizing your own sales budget. Project sales turnover varies between 100,000 - 1 mio USD.

The position is for occupation at CORE in Kansas City, and therefore you must be living in driving distance from our office.

The company has ambitious growth targets, and will grow significantly over the next few years.

Who are you?
Applicants must have a technical or academic education, eg. engineering, industrial machinery, agriculture, chemistry/science or similar. Also, you must have automation knowledge.

  • You have +3 years sales experience from similar solutions/projects or similar sales process where you have been acting as a trusted advisor
  • You have a solid business understanding, and have a natural interest in production processes, production improvement, machine process optimization or process optimization
  • You must be comfortable with both financial calculations and technical documents/information
  • As a person you are self-motivating and thrives with long term sales processes
  • You are used to working independently, and have the ability to structure your efforts and activities, etc.
  • You have a proven and solid track record
  • You hold an American citizenship and are living in or near our office in Kansas City, USA
  • You have excellent language skills and are fluent in English spoken/written
