In Proprietary Gas Trading, we analyse European gas markets, build fundamental models, develop and execute trading strategies and manage a portfolio of positions. Your journey to becoming a true gas market specialist
Starting out, you will get a thorough introduction to the team, our systems and models and how we trade at Danske Commodities. After a brief introduction period, you will strengthen your knowledge of the European gas market before focusing on your specific area of expertise (e.g. upstream gas, regional flows, storage, LNG, gas for power demand). On the longer term, you will use your acquired expertise to further develop our models, provide ad-hoc analysis and create trading strategies that you will manage with the traders.

Responsibilities



  • carry out quantitative fundamental analyses and contribute to the development of fundamental models
  • contribute to the management of the team’s market exposure
  • become an expert on a specific part of European supply and demand fundamentals
  • develop trading strategies and support the traders in their execution


Qualifications



We expect that you:

  • hold a relevant master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar
  • have 2-5 years’ experience from a similar position, where you have worked in a trading environment
  • have programming skills (preferably Python)
  • are fluent in English – both written and verbal
