Accounts Payable Accountant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic accounts payable accountant to strengthen our well-functioning Global Finance Department located in Brøndby.

The successful candidate will assist with all aspects of the Accounts payable function and it’s important that you are open to change as Milestone is continuously improving and optimizing its processes. It’s equally important that you feel comfortable with repetitive tasks, are accurate and have a service minded approach to dealing with internal and external stakeholders.


  • Daily prioritization of the Accounts payable mailbox
  • Invoice processing for Milestones Systems AS, including its branches and subsidiaries using Continia Document Capture and Navision
  • Prepare and book journal entries related to payroll and cost center reallocations
  • Prepare weekly payment journals and ad-hoc payments
  • Maintenance and reconciliation of vendor data
  • Fixed Asset administration including additions, disposals and depreciation
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Various month end tasks including reconciliation of the ERP modules
  • Process optimizations and ad-hoc projects

Desired skills and experience

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience from an accounts payable function in an international company
  • Experience and knowledge of Danish VAT regulations would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) as the official office language is English
  • Danish language would be highly advantageous
  • Previous experience using Navision and electronic invoice workflow (we use Continia Document Capture)
  • Good IT skills including strong proficiency with MS Excel
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Team-player who enjoys working with people across different cultures
  • Self-driven and results orientated
  • Structured with an eye for detail
