Join CMC Development in Global Manufacturing & Supply and support our scientists in turning lab work into approved products.Your new roleAs a Student Assistant in CMC Development, you’ll support day-to-day activities that help ensure data quality, compliance, and smooth laboratory operations. This is a practical role where you’ll work closely with scientists and contribute to activities across batch reporting, deviations support, and lab documentation.You will support with:
Data support: Collect and prepare data for produced batches and deviation-related reportingSample logistics: Practical support for sample dispatch to ensure timely processingLab standards: Cleaning, freezer housekeeping, and inventory countingDocumentation & compliance support: Archiving and handling of logbooks to ensure traceabilityTeam collaboration: Working with cross-functional stakeholders within CMC DevelopmentContinuous improvement: Identifying where your support can improve efficiency and data qualityYour skills & qualificationsTo be considered, you must meet the following:Current studentYou are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree (must continue during employment)Your field is technical or science-based, e.g., Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or similarAvailabilityYou can work 8–12 hours per weekYou can start ASAPYou can commit reliably for the agreed employment period (see questions below)Work style & capabilitiesYou can work independently with guidance and follow instructions carefullyYou have a structured approach to data handling and documentationYou are detail-oriented and comfortable working with records/logbooks and dataTeam fitYou are positive, proactive, and able to collaborate with scientists and other team membersYour new departmentThe department is part of the CMC API Pilots and has approximately 350 employees who are responsible for producing API for all development projects at [xxxxx]. This includes both fermentation, cell culture, chemical synthesis, and purification.The department, Mammalian Pilot Plants, consists of approximately 60 employees across a cell culture pilot facility, a protein coarse purification pilot facility, and a protein fine purification pilot facility.The processes we work with feed directly into production of the finished medicinal product.
