R&D Engineer – DAMRC, Herning

DAMRC (Danish Advanced Manufacturing Research Center) is seeking a skilled and motivated R&D Engineer to join our high‑tech research environment in Herning.

The Role

As an R&D Engineer, you will play a key role in national and international research and development projects from concept to implementation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maturing innovative technologies within metal processing and chip‑removal machining

  • Driving process and production optimization for industrial applications

  • Collaborating closely with colleagues, customers, and industry partners

  • Contributing to advanced engineering solutions that support the green transition

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with:

  • A strong theoretical and practical background in mechanical engineering

  • Preferably a specialization in materials engineering (ambitious graduates are welcome to apply)

  • Experience with material processing and/or chip‑removal machining (an advantage)

  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with modern engineering tools

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines

  • Analytical mindset and solid problem‑solving abilities

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

  • EU passport
