EHS Partner

Do you want to make a difference by shaping a work environment that allows our colleagues to focus on what truly matters for patients undergoing surgery?

We offer an exciting opportunity to take on a key role as EHS Partner in an international medical device company with high professional standards, strong values, and a well-established EHS organisation.

Position overview
We are seeking a strong, dynamic, and results-driven EHS Partner to join our HR team. In this role, you will report directly to the VP of HR and serve as a trusted partner, collaborating with managers, employees, employee representatives, and global colleagues.

You will play an instrumental role in strengthening our preventive safety efforts, ensuring compliance with Danish and EU EHS legislation, and continuously developing our safety culture. We are fully dedicated to maintaining and continuously improving a healthy and safe work environment, and as EHS Partner you will be closely integrated into the daily support of EHS initiatives across all lines of business, from manufacturing to laboratories.

The role offers significant influence on strategic decision-making and the opportunity to integrate EHS even more clearly into business processes, with a strong focus on implementing EHS in project models and other organisational changes.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive the EHS strategy with sponsorship from VPs across FeMD, and support the day-to-day management of initiatives that promote a healthy work environment
  • Promote a culture of compliance, driving continuous EHS improvement across the business
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective health and safety policies and procedures
  • Take the lead as a role model for safety behaviour and act as a trusted partner at different levels of the organisation
  • Support manufacturing with preventive measures within, for example, ergonomics, ultrafine particles, and machine safety
  • Facilitate health and safety incident investigations and support corrective and preventive actions
  • Facilitate and support the Health and Safety Organisation (AMO) during meetings, safety walks, elections, and ad hoc activities
  • Challenge and support managers and project teams when priorities may conflict, ensuring sound EHS solutions are reached through dialogue, professionalism, and clear standards
  • Develop training materials and deliver training on health and safety topics
  • Promote EHS in projects to ensure safe working conditions
  • Keep the site updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the organisation’s safety
  • Ensure relevant EHS reporting internally and externally

QualificationsWe are looking for a candidate with proven EHS experience and in-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety topics, regulations, and best practices.

The following qualifications would be an advantage:

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • You have 5+ years of EHS experience from a similar position, preferably in a manufacturing company within GMP-regulated production
  • You are used to working with incident recording, systematic problem-solving, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively
  • You possess knowledge of the general legal requirements relating to EHS activities within production facilities
  • You have a positive, proactive, and energetic approach and a hands-on mindset to make things happen
  • You are persistent and dare to challenge and stand firm, even when EHS is challenged
  • You are a team player who can motivate and coach employees and managers
  • You work well in collaboration with others but can also work independently
  • You are used to meeting deadlines for tasks and projects
  • You are proficient in both English and Danish, orally and in writing
