Your role:
Here at [xxxxx], we have been a source of specialist live-in care for adults with spinal cord injuries for more than 20 years now. All of our clients are wheelchair users, with varying levels of mobility. Some are young professionals with demanding careers, while others are business owners with active and busy lifestyles. It is this difference and the diverse range of clients that work with us that makes [xxxxx] so appealing to those interested in care work.
With your help they can do things they love like pursue hobbies, take part in social activities and be the very best version of themselves!
Typically the duties of an [xxxxx] Spinal Injury Personal Assistant includes:
• Client personal care, including washing/bathing/changing/dressing
• Helping clients get in and out of bed
• Full toileting, bowel and bladder routine
• All aspects of personal grooming, including hair care and filing nails
• General housekeeping and domestic duties, including laundry and shopping
• Cooking and serving meals
• Light housework, including dusting and vacuuming
• Basic wheelchair and equipment maintenance
• Assisting with correspondence, including opening letters and aiding with calls and emails
• Driving clients to commitments and appointments
• Helping clients get in and out of vehicles
• Looking after client’s pets
• Assisting clients on holidays, both in the UK and abroad
• You may also get the chance to attend social events and hobbies with them and support them being playing an active role in family life. Being an [xxxxx] carer is not only unique but highly rewarding, fulfilling and fun!
In order to apply for our roles, you MUST:
• be between the ages of 21-40
• have a full valid driving licence
• have a valid and in date passport
• be able to speak good English in order to communicate with clients
• either already have EU SETTLED/PRE-SETTLED STATUS or agree to the terms of a UK HEALTH AND CARE WORKER VISA. If your application is successful, [xxxxx] can sponsor approved carer candidates for a HEALTH AND CARE WORKER VISA.
