Facility Technician – Data Center Operations

We are looking for a Facility Technician to join our team at a high-profile Data Centre campus. You will be part of a dedicated on-site facilities team supporting a large global client in a highly technical and fast-paced environment.
About the role
In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of the data centre, working closely with the Facilities Management team. You will focus on ensuring the smooth running of soft services, with a particular responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of doors and building systems across the campus.
Your main responsibilities:
• Inspect, maintain: Doors and ironmongery across the campus
• Repair, support: Perform general building maintenance tasks
• Collaborate, coordinate: Work closely with FM/AFM/FC teams
• Operate, handle: Use lifting equipment such as MEWPs
• Maintain, optimise: Industrial, automatic and fire door systems
• Monitor, report: Track issues and communicate with the team
• Ensure, comply: Follow all health, safety and site procedures
• Inspect, improve: Identify maintenance needs proactively
• Document, update: Maintain SOPs, EOPs and site documentation

We are looking for a proactive and reliable team player with a technical mindset and a strong commitment to service excellence.
We expect that you:
• Have experience in facilities, maintenance, or building services
• Have a basic technical understanding of building systems
• Understand electrical safety risks and hazards
• Are comfortable working at heights (ladders/scaffolding)
• Have strong communication skills in English
• Are computer literate and able to manage reports
• Are flexible and willing to work outside normal hours when needed
• Can work independently as well as part of a team
