Location: Ballerup, London, BangaloreBuild the technical foundation for responsible AI at scale and help shape how we use AI safely to improve patients' lives.Your new roleAs an AI Engineer – Technical Lead in AI Governance, you'll play a central role in enabling responsible AI at [xxxxx] by embedding governance, risk management, and compliance directly into our AI platforms and tooling. Working at the intersection of AI engineering, platform enablement, and enterprise governance, you'll translate responsible AI principles into practical, scalable technical solutions that support innovation across the organisation.This is a short-term assignment ending in December 2026, offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on how we develop and deploy AI responsibly.Day-to-day your tasks will include:
Designing and implementing technical solutions that operationalise AI governance, embedding responsible AI principles into platforms and workflowsTranslating AI governance policies, regulatory requirements, and risk controls into practical technical implementationsEnabling "AI to govern AI" capabilities that support safe, scalable AI development and deploymentCollaborating closely with stakeholders across AI engineering, IT risk, cybersecurity, identity and access management, and business teamsSupporting the safe enablement of AI use by a broad range of users, including citizen developersBalancing innovation and risk by applying a pragmatic, enabling approach to governanceContributing to the continuous evolution of [xxxxx]'s AI governance and enablement landscapeYour new departmentIn Enterprise IT & Quality, you will be part of a business area that drives impact across the full [xxxxx] value chain. You'll bring with you:A master’s degree within a relevant field and a high level of proficiency in EnglishStrong technical background in AI/ML engineering, software engineering, or platform engineeringExperience working with enterprise-scale systems or shared platformsAbility to translate governance, policy, and risk requirements into technical solutionsUnderstanding of AI risks and responsible AI concepts, or strong motivation to develop this expertiseExperience collaborating with security, risk, or compliance stakeholdersStructured and pragmatic approach, with the ability to work effectively in complex environmentsIt would be an advantage if you have:Experience with AI platforms, agent-based systems, or LLM-enabled solutionsFamiliarity with enterprise identity and access management or secure deployment patternsExperience working in regulated or highly governed industriesAbility to influence across organisational boundariesWorking at [xxxxx]We're at a pivotal moment in healthcare, and AI is central to how we'll defeat serious chronic diseases in the years ahead.
