E&I Commissioning Lead – Pharmaceutical Engineering Projects
We are looking for an experienced E&I Commissioning Lead for our client – a leading company within pharmaceutical engineering.
This role is for you who thrive in the field, take ownership of commissioning execution and enjoy leading E&I activities on complex, regulated projects.
You will have a central role during the execution and commissioning phases and act as the main technical and commissioning interface between installation, automation, QA and operations.

You will have a central role during the execution and commissioning phases and act as the main technical and commissioning interface between installation, automation, QA and operations.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate E&I commissioning activities on site
- Drive planning, execution and follow-up of commissioning, FAT/SAT support and functional testing
- Ensure structured handover to operations and closure of punch lists
- Secure compliance with GMP, safety and project quality requirements
- Manage technical interfaces between disciplines, vendors and stakeholders
- Support and guide commissioning teams in the field
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Marine Engineering
- Strong experience from large projects in the execution & commissioning phase
- Solid E&I competence within:
- PLC & DCS → process control and sequencing
- Industrial networks/communication
- IO, loop checks, functional testing, interlocks
- FAT/SAT and system interfaces
- Used to working in regulated industries
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
- You take ownership, work structurally and support the team
It is a clear advantage if you have experience with
- Acting as E&I Commissioning Lead or Discipline Lead
- Pharmaceutical projects and GMP environments
- Functional safety: SIL, SIS, ATEX
