BIG Copenhagen is now seeking ambitious Danish-speaking Landscape Architects to join the BIG Landscape department to work on a number of high profile projects as an important member of the Landscape team.
As a Landscape Architect you will report directly to the Landscape Partner. You will collaborate closely with other landscape architects, urban designers, and architects across multiple projects to deliver concept-to-construction landscape design for high-profile projects both nationally and internationally.
BIG is looking for a Danish-speaking Landscape Architect who has:
Ability to work with multiple teams and contribute to technical development documentation, and approvals processes
Ability to communicate clearly and confidently to diverse clients and public officials
Ability to work with partners on advancing agenda on future of landscape design, urban design, mobility, sustainability, ecology, and infrastructure
Experience in preparing design presentations, drawings, and visuals for client and competition submissions
Understanding of Danish or EU planning regulations and sustainability frameworks (e.g., DGNB, BREEAM, or local equivalents)
Experience coordinating with architects, engineers and consultants through various design stages
Strong design sensibility and interest in materiality, planting design, and construction detailing
Work with business development team on landscape and public realm, RFQs and proposals
Strong ability with 3D modelling in Rhino (essential), AutoCAD, V-Ray, Revit, and Adobe Suite
Required skills and experience:
A professional degree in landscape architecture (or a closely related field such as architecture or urban design)
At least 4 years of post-graduate experience in landscape design, with proven involvement from concept to detailed design on small- to large-scale projects.
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and a either Danish, Swedish or Norwegian - spoken and written.
