The Embassy of Japan in Denmark is seeking a full-time Butler for the Ambassador’s Residence.

1. Position: Full-time Butler, the Japanese Ambassador’s residence

2. Qualifications

(1) Fluency in both English and Danish. Japanese proficiency is an asset.

(2) Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

(3) Possession of a valid work permit in Denmark

(4) Residence in Copenhagen or the surrounding area

3. Job Description

Responsibilities include:

Liaison and coordination with the Embassy; management of the residence; basic computer tasks; serving at official lunches, dinners and receptions, and coordinating with the kitchen; contacting contractors in the event of facility malfunctions at the residence; assisting residence staff with tasks such as cleaning and laundry during staff leave.

4. Terms of Employment

(1) Salary: Based on Embassy regulations

(2) Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (including a 1-hour lunch break). Overtime and work on holidays may be required.

(3) Work Location: Ambassador’s Residence (Søholm Park, Hellerup). Temporary work outside the residence may be required.

(2) Only candidates who pass the document screening will be contacted.

(3) Candidates who pass the document screening will be invited to the Embassy or the residence for an interview and skills assessment.

6. Important Notes
