We are looking for:

Blacksmiths

Key tasks:

Your job will involve shaping and joining heated metal in order to create products. You will be using a forge, hammering, and power tools. Job can include some physical work in hot and noisy environments.

Your key responsibilities & duties will include:

• Forge and shape metal using tools such as hammers, anvils, and tongs
  
  
• Heat metal in a forge until it is malleable
  
  
• Design and create custom metalwork pieces
  
  
• Repair and maintain metal objects and equipment
  
  
• Cut and drill metal pieces to the required specifications
  
  
• Weld and solder metal parts together
  
  
• Operate machinery such as power hammers, hammers and punches, or power tools like drills, presses and hydraulic presses
  
  
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
  
  
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  
  
• Ensure safety standards are met in the workshop
  
  

Skills:

• English - must be able to communicate in English
  
  
• Safety-conscious and reliable
  
  
• Physically strong and good with your hands
  
  
• Strong understanding of metalworking processes
  
  
• Attention to detail and precision in work
  
  
• Knowledge of modern welding techniques
  
  
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  
  
• Familiarity with different types of metal and their properties
  
  
• Knowledge in a variety of blacksmithing techniques, including traditional and modern methods
  
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
  

Experience:

• Experience is good to have but that's not necessary
  
  

· Certification from a recognized blacksmithing institute is good to have but that's not necessary
