Student Assistant, Energy Trading & PPA
Are you a committed and structured student looking to get hands-on experience in the energy trading space? In 2022, we already expanded with more than 200 new colleagues, now being almost 500 enthusiastic and professional employees. We have a student community with more than 40 of our students participating in development talks and social events.
You will get an essential role in the Energy Trading & PPA team consisting of five full-time employees. One of the teams´ main objectives are the valuation of new production and the managing of risk in our production portfolio.
European Energy is a company experiencing rapid growth, and you will get experience with PPA pricing of renewable energy and power trading. Main responsibilities
- You will assist the Energy Trading & PPA team report and manage energy exposure across Europe, Brazil, USA, and Australia.
- Maintaining pricing curve and capture values for Wind and Solar products.
- You will monitor and report on the financial performance of operational assets.
- You will help assess the future value of our production from both current assets and new build projects.
- You will help various departments align on future power price expectations.
- You will collaborate with the Commercial Asset Management team in order to support the business.
- You will assist with ad hoc tasks.
Profile
- You are currently studying a Bachelor or Master at university level or an equivalent institution within Finance, Economics, or similar.
- You have a genuine interest in energy markets.
- You are proficient in English, oral and written and have good communication skills.
- You are a confident user of Microsoft 365 products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in coding and data visualization tools such as SQL, PowerBI, or Python is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
- You are friendly, curious, and eager to learn.
