København N

We are looking for a highly motivated and independent staff scientistto support our efforts in understanding how DNA-protein crosslinks are tolerated by cells and cleared from the genome to commence the 3rd of July 2026.

Our research

The Duxin lab currently consists of a diverse group of 12 researchers including research assistants, PhD fellows and postdocs, who investigate the intricate molecular mechanisms involved in repairing DNA-protein crosslinks and bypassing of DNA lesions during the process of DNA replication.

In the lab, we take advantage of an interdisciplinary approach with active international and local collaborations to combine biochemical work in Xenopus egg extracts, mass spectrometry, CRISPR/Cas9 screening technologies in human cells, and structural work (Cryo-EM) to delineate molecular mechanisms underlying DNA repair and replication mechanisms.

Your job

You will join a multi-disciplinary research team working on understanding the details of protein recruitment, modification and regulation underlying the processes of repairing and/or bypassing DNA lesions during DNA replication.

Your main tasks will be to support the team with mass spectrometric methodologies incl. technical experiment design, hands-on sample preparation, computational processing of raw data and all aspects of data analysis and visualization.

You will be expected to contribute to and support the ongoing research projects in the group on an ad hoc basis when needed; disseminate your expertise to new lab members and support the lab management.
