Lighting Designer

[xxxxx] is looking for a lighting designer to join our Copenhagen team.

We are searching for a profile with a minimum of two years professional lighting design experience, architectural understanding and the ability to drive projects and processes.

This is not a purely conceptual role.
We are looking for someone who understands the realities of lighting implementation - from concept development and visual communication to fixture selection, detailing, coordination and project delivery.

The ideal candidate combines aesthetic sensitivity with technical understanding, professional maturity and a genuine interest in light as an architectural medium.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Full-time position (37 hours per week) in Copenhagen
  
  
• Proficient in Danish, both written and spoken
  
  
• Development of lighting concepts and spatial atmospheres
  
  
• Coordination with architects, engineers, suppliers and contractors
  
  
• Lighting detailing, specifications and fixture integration
  
  
• Visual communication through sketches, diagrams and presentations
  
  
• Participation in design and site meetings
  
  
• Proficient in Danish, both written and spoken
  
  

Depending on experience, you will be expected to run projects in close collaboration with the studio partners.

• Has professional experience within architectural lighting design

• Understands luminaires, optics, detailing and lighting integration
  
  
• Has strong visual and illustrative abilities
  
  
• Is structured, responsible and comfortable taking ownership
  
  
• Is confident working across both conceptual and technical phases
  
  
• Thrives in a small studio environment with varied responsibilities
  
  

An architectural or interior architectural background is an advantage, but solid lighting design experience is essential.
