Praktik - København

Are you looking for an exciting internship opportunity with one of the world’s largest humanitarian NGOs? Then you might be our new intern with the Solutions Unit for the autumn 2026 semester.

About the Job

The Solutions Unit leads DRC’s work to strengthen longer-term, cross-cutting programming that helps displacement-affected communities move towards self-reliance durable solutions. The Unit brings together several cross-cutting capacities - Solutions to Displacement, Anticipatory Action, Localization, Inclusive Systems and Innovative Financing - and works across DRC’s regions and country operations to translate the organization’s Response Framework and its vision of “a dignified life for all displaced” into practice. We are looking for an intern to support the whole Unit, helping the team to work efficiently and to communicate its work clearly. The purpose of the internship is to support with strengthening the Unit’s information management, internal and external communications, and day-to-day coordination, while also giving the intern hands-on exposure to the Unit’s technical areas, so that the team’s knowledge, tools and products are well-organized, accessible and easy to use The tasks include:

  • Keep the Unit’s digital workspaces well-organized: design, maintain and improve the team’s SharePoint sites so that files, folders and pages are well-structured, user-friendly and up to date for all members of the Unit.
  • Maintain the Unit’s and its capacities’ pages on DRC’s intranet (Insite): update and curate content, improve page design and navigation, and ensure information is accurate, current and easy for colleagues across DRC to find and use.
  • Support the development, design and dissemination of communications products such as capacity statements, factsheets, newsletters, presentations, short articles and news items, ensuring they are clear, consistent and aligned with DRC’s branding.
  • Help to develop and curate learning and knowledge products and support their roll-out to colleagues.
  • Support the Unit’s technical leads with research and analysis in their subject areas, helping to gather evidence, synthesize findings and prepare practical inputs that strengthen DRC’s programming.
  • Support the Head of Unit and Platform Lead to undertake desk reviews and analysis of country and policy contexts, helping country offices to develop country-level theories of change.
  • Provide general administrative support to members of the team, from setting up meetings to arranging travel and logistics and other day-to-day coordination tasks.
  • Support information and knowledge management more broadly, for example consolidating, tagging and mapping the Unit’s documents and resources, and maintaining simple trackers, calendars and contact lists so that key information is easy to find.

About You

To be successful in this role we expect you to be well-organized, detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong interest in communications, information management and humanitarian and displacement issues, and to enjoy making information clear, accessible and easy for others to use. • Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several tasks at once.
  • Be comfortable working with digital tools such as Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint and Outlook, and be willing to learn new platforms (for example Insite and design or newsletter tools).
