AI Product Manager

The position
We are looking for a technical product manager to lead Generative AI product initiatives. In partnership with our engineers and data scientists, you will play a critical role in identifying and executing on opportunities to create and scale our internal platform products and APIs, while maintaining Novo Nordisk’s standards for useful and trustworthy AI.
You thrive in ambiguous and changing environments and add velocity and creativity to product teams. Your natural curiosity and passion for understanding user needs enables you to define successful products that deliver real value. You should have a proven track record of working with technical users, understanding their needs, and building products they love. Ideally you have experience launching innovative products from 0 to 1, and at scale.
Key Responsibilities
• Be responsible for the success of the product(s) you manage through the full product lifecycle from inception to go-to-market, launch and landing.
• Lead a core team of cross-functional colleagues incl. from Engineering, Data Science, UX, Legal, and Information Security to drive continuous progress on your product(s).
• Identify, build, and maintain trusting relationships with your stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant trends, emerging AI technologies, and industry best practices.
• Deeply understand users, use cases, pain points and how the capabilities of (Generative) AI can help address the use cases. Directly engage with users and collaborate with UX on qualitative and quantitative user research. Serve as the voice of the customer.
• Lead the creation of a product vision and strategy for your product(s) and secure buy-in.
• Translate product vision into an innovative roadmap containing well-defined, prioritized features that will realize the product vision and value.
• Define and document actionable requirements in concise Product Requirements Documents.
• Communicate compelling product vision, roadmap, releases, and value propositions to users and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with and influence teams and functions across the company to deliver on the product vision and requirements.
• Analyze metrics to inform product success and evolution, and make data driven decisions to provide value and exceptional user experience.
• Establish objective goals for the product with success and acceptance criteria using meaningful metrics, KPIs, and quantifiable business outcomes.
• Represent the product(s) towards senior executives using well-crafted narratives and deliverables.
Qualifications
• M.Sc. in Computer Science or other relevant, technical field.
• Strong technical aptitude to partner with and earn the trust of engineering partners - software engineering experience is a plus.
• Four years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related role where business acumen has been demonstrated.
• Demonstrated empathy for users and ability to translate insights into product requirements.
• Demonstrated success creating digital products vision, strategy, experience, and enterprise solutions and services - from ideation to launch.
• Experience with managing cross-functional stakeholders and leadership through influence to drive consensus across an organization.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey complicated topics in easily understandable terms to a diverse set of external and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to navigate and execute amidst ambiguity.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging data to make strategic, business decisions.
Preferred qualifications:
• Understanding of the AI/ML software stack and ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, etc.
• Experience with Cloud/SaaS products a plus.
• MBA or other, related business degree a plus.
• Experience from pharma or other data science environments a plus. You are driven by a passion to help others, want responsibility and freedom. You are a team player too, a great listener who thrives with complicated problems.
The position is primarily located in Bagsværd, with flexible working options. As you will be working in a global environment, you must expect some meetings to take place outside Danish working hours and with limited travel activity.
About the department
The AI and Analytics Center of Excellence is a team of data scientists, analysts, machine learning engineers and developers, partnering across the organisation to deliver impactful end to end data products, analytics and ML solutions spanning from Research, to Commercial and Production. We want to industrialise and democratise the way we do AI, reducing the lead time from PoC to Production with scalable data platforms, MLOps, reference architectures and modularised components that span across the whole data and ML lifecycle. We are cloud native and work primarily in AWS and Azure. We work agile, embrace continuous learning and a culture of feedback and honesty, and we don’t forget to have fun.
Our group is part of the larger area of BI, Data Management and Analytics, where we get to work closely with our data lake, data marketplace and data science platforms, having cross-functional power to quickly design and implement scalable solutions as well as take care of operations. We are a multinational and diverse group in four different locations in USA, India, Poland and Denmark working in a set of scrum teams, committed to organise and deliver around agile values.
