Do you want to bring your supply chain skills and knowledge to help us taking our management of our external warehouses into next level? We are increasing our responsibility of global warehousing and we are looking for a Logistics Manager to be a part of this expansion journey.
The position
You will get the opportunity to join a team with dedicated employees having the responsibility for management of global outsourced warehouses handled by external suppliers. Your primary responsibility will be to manage existing as well as new warehouses as vendor responsible and support our journey in optimizing current processes, set and manage KPIs, support tenders and follow-up on audits. Your secondary responsibility will be to support our “OrderFlow4Future” project as warehouse process specialist which is expected to take up to 50% of your time. You will also be driving process optimization, innovative solutions, and development initiatives to fulfill our ambition of becoming the Center of Excellence (CoE) within warehousing. The stakeholder perspective is broad in this job why excellent stakeholder management skills are critical to succeed. We expect that you engage with your stakeholders within and outside Novo Nordisk to gain business insights, build a relation and execute according to agreements and expectations. You will have a key role in building up new competencies within warehousing and mentoring your colleagues. Qualifications You have a degree at university level, most likely within Supply Chain, Logistics or Engineering. You have at least 3-4 years in depth experience project management from a similar position. Your professional expertise is founded in your excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. Your good communication skills make you thrive on having multiple contacts across the globe. You communicate fluently in English both written and orally. Finally, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning. Logistics & Distribution (L&D) is overall responsible for the global distribution of Novo Nordisk products between production sites and to our affiliates and regional offices across the globe, focusing on delivering a high service while balancing environmental footprint with financial impact. Furthermore, we are responsible for the storage of GxP products, including inbound and outbound distribution.
We are a department of about 55 employees, divided in Shipping Operations, Validations and Transport Control, Projects and Analytics, Quality and Compliance and Warehouse Center of Excellence. L&D is part of Supply Chain Planning & Logistics, a central Supply Chain organization in Novo Nordisk Product Supply, managing all cross-functional logistical systems and processes.
