The department


Professional Services consists of 12 cybersecurity consultants that with a mix of technical competencies and seniority, advise customers on cybersecurity all from architecture to strategy. You be part of diversified team of skilled cybersecurity professionals, that are eager to share experiences and collaborate in creating the best cybersecurity solutions. Even though, there is a great flexibility in terms of remote work, team members prioritize to work from the office a few days a week during the week. As part of Professional Services, you will, together with your colleagues, have the main responsibility of helping customers identify and define their needs and implement the right technical solutions accordingly.

The manager


You will refer to the manager of Professional Services, Peter Sindt, who has been working in Dubex for almost 20 years. Peter has previous experience as a network security engineer and senior cybersecurity consultant and is known for his supportive and ‘down to earth’ approach to the role as manager

The position


As Senior Cybersecurity Consultant in Dubex, you will help make a difference for the customers. You will act as key advisor in their journey to build and/or harden their IT landscape, thus making sure they are a step ahead of the potential threats. Dubex is experiencing an increased need for advisory on all type of technical solutions & architecture, everything from network and infrastructure security to newer technologies including cloud security. As senior cybersecurity consultant, you bring a holistic approach to cybersecurity and assist customers with assessments, where your insights are translated into clear advice and actions plans that help raise their cybersecurity level. As advisor, you engage with customers as an active listener and use your technical knowledge as argumentation. Occasionally, and depending on your interest, you will assist Dubex’ Incident Response Team (DIRT), who help customers respond to and recover from cybersecurity incidents, where you will be a support in the incident management as well as customer onboardings to IR services.

Primary responsibilities


  • Advise customers through assessment, planning and implementation of cybersecurity initiatives.

  • Perform design and implementation security reviews for infrastructure projects e.g. identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements

  • Assist with security incident response as needed e.g. respond immediately to security-related incidents and provide thorough remedial solutions and analysis.

  • Be a security evangelist.

  • Design and implement installations e.g. of firewall, VPN, routers, IDS scanning technologies and servers

  • Align organizational security strategy and infrastructure with overall business and technology strategy

  • Assist with customer onboarding to Dubex MSSP offerings.


Professional qualifications


  • You have a relevant education, preferably within IT.

  • +5 years’ experience as IT security advisor, consultant, or similar role, where you have worked with cybersecurity on strategic, tactical, and operational level.

  • You have great experience with facilitating cybersecurity projects, ensuring the right priority and progress. • Understanding of private, hybrid and public cloud solutions and their key characteristics.

  • Knowledge within best security practices and common security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST and CIS.

  • Ability to document and report meaningful risks and mitigation plans


Following are considered an advantage:


  • Experience with developing/implementing cloud security solutions.

  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications.

  • Experience working with vendors such as Trend Micro, Checkpoint, F5, Entrust, FireEye, Microsoft.

Confident and convincing. You are confident in throwing yourself into new situations that are outside your comfort zone. You maintain composure in pressured situations and present argumentation that have convincing effect.

Collaboration and team player. Although you function independently, you believe that the best results are delivered in a collaboration. You are determined to solve problems together and show empathy towards your co-workers. You respect people differences and enable actions that help people in their daily work

About the employment


Your workplace will be at our office in Søborg, but you will also participate in meetings and tasks with our customers. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
