Gadstrup

The role as Software Engineer offers a very interesting and challenging opportunity to become a significant part of a robust and successful, international, and market-leading company within semi-automatic equipment for the airport industry.

As a software engineer you will play an important role in the R&D department contributing to the implementation of the Assisted Docking System project – in collaboration with a team of dedicated software, electrical and mechanical engineers, managed by the CEO and owner of the company.

As a person, you are goal oriented, highly self-motivated and a team player, and you are driven by the challenge of being one of the first movers within Power Stow’s industry. Being part of an innovative R&D team that focuses on solutions instead of problems is also a great motivator – but first and foremost you are motivated by the scope of the challenge.

In this role your main areas of responsibilities will be further developing the Assisted Docking System project. The project aims to provide guidance information for the operators when approaching/leaving the aircrafts, using e.g. LiDARs. The system should function intuitively for the operators.

The project is reaching a milestone, as the team now has a working prototype, that is currently being tested in CPH airport by the operators, that are also the main stakeholders of the project. Furthermore, the developments of the prototype should be able to be retrofitted to the approximately 2000 vehicles their customers are already operating.

A great part of your time will be dedicated to hardware configuration and software development. Due to the projects current stage, code review, physical testing, improvement, and optimization will also be within your area of responsibility.

The results of your development will be seen instantly through testing in the R&D lab. You will be able to influence the use of tools and programs based on your expert knowledge within this area. You would work under autonomy, in collaboration with the team and have great impact on the deliverance and general development of the project.
