If so, then you might be the new Chemical Safety Consultant we are looking for in Novo Nordisk Health & Safety! The Position
In this job, you will play an important role in improving chemical health and safety across Novo Nordisk globally. You will support compliance, continuous improvement and good practice in a rapidly expanding organisation. You will work in a team of highly engaged experts and drive improvements initiatives across Novo Nordisk’s value chain, to make sure that our working environment support safe conditions and behaviours. Some of your key activities will be to: Drive and coordinating improvement initiatives Provide chemical safety support to Line of Business Conduct chemical risk assessments and industrial hygiene activities Provide training within chemical safety, including risk assessments, API containment, SDS preparation Liaise with authorities to document compliance You will collaborate with key stakeholders in line of business, vendors, CROs/CMOs and consultants to develop, improve and anchor chemical health and safety processes and initiatives. You will do this in close collaboration with other chemists and management in our unit. Moreover, you will use your experience to support other health and safety related initiatives such as support to capacity expansion projects, admin of GMO approvals etc. Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have: Master degree within Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering or similar 5+ years of relevant experience within chemical safety, preferably from the pharmaceutical or chemical industry Experience in performing chemical risk assessments and proposing containment equipment Experience with toxicological assessments, CLP classifications and Safety Data Sheets Fluency in English language, written and spoken As a person, you are structured and able to take ownership of a task from planning to execution and follow-up, but you also enjoy working in teams towards a common goal. You can communicate complex issues in a simple way, no matter if the target group is high level management or shopfloor employees. You are outgoing and build good relations with colleagues and stakeholders. About the Department The job is in Novo Nordisk Health & Safety department, a unit in the global People & Organisation division, located in Bagsværd, Denmark. The department is Novo Nordisk's Centre of Excellence in the field of health and safety with around 40 dedicated colleagues.
