Do you want to take the lead and leverage your strong data management and governance expertise even further? Are you eager to make a footprint impacting the future of Novo Nordisk's use of data? If so, what about becoming our new Director of Data Governance? Behind the title As Director of Data Governance at Novo Nordisk, you'll develop and implement policies and guidelines for data management. You'll engage with teams in Digital, Data & IT to ensure data governance aligns with business processes and enables value. Your responsibilities will include the following: Setting a proper engagement and integration model through all capabilities coming out of Digital, Data, and IT, where the data foundation is anchored. Around this, you will take a subject matter expert role, providing guidance and advice for involved stakeholders, ensuring the implementation succeeds. Building up a Data Governance team to support the implementation and shape a center of excellence. The team will count 5-7 employees when it's in place, and they will all be in your direct report. You will manage, coach, and allocate them to initiatives across the area while ensuring they execute according to the direction. This is a new role, so you'll significantly impact the future of data governance at Novo Nordisk. What it takes
We believe that the right candidates come with a background that ticks off most of the following boxes: 8+ years’ experience within data management, ideally from an IT consultancy/system integrator or an industrial company 3 or more years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide projects Strong Communication and Change Management skills Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills to work across line of business at a senior level to influence and effect change An innovative, data-driven mindset Bachelor's or master's degree in information science, computer science, or related field or equivalent work experience. This is a strategically important role for us, so we will go far to find a suitable candidate, making us open to candidates from different locations requiring a hybrid work model. Global Data Office was established two years ago and will soon grow to more than 100 diverse and dedicated employees working primarily from Denmark and India. They are on a journey – a challenging but fun one. Inside Global Data Office, you will be part of and head up the Governance Team.
