What you will be doing As Scrum Master, you will be an integral member of the Data Harmonisation Layer (DHL) agile organisation, consists of three agile teams currently. DHL is a global platform designed for easier connectivity and harmonisation of data from various Operational Technology (OT) data sources across Novo Nordisk. DHL makes data easily accessible to develop several front-end Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) products to help improve our production processes. Key technologies used in DHL are Ignition and AWS. Your main responsibilities include: Facilitate Agile teams to efficient delivery
Coaching and leadership
Keep track of and help solve impediments and escalate if necessary
Help Agile teams and other roles prepare and align expectations before and during events
Budgeting and vendor management
Be a great role model of Agile way of working and continuously drive Agile improvements in cooperation with other Scrum Masters
Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. To succeed in the role, you have a proven track record in most of the following: You have a master’s degree in computer science, engineering, chemistry, biology, or other relevant fields 5+ years of experience as Scrum Master working in an Agile team in a large and complex organisation Advanced experience in how to build and support a learning culture in Agile teams – increase knowledge, cut complexity and be innovative Advanced knowledge on Agile tools e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe XP and DevOps On personal level, you are: Authentic and credible role model for the Agile methodology Excellent communicator and facilitator of team dynamics Able to navigate in a complex stakeholder environment Empathetic and strong relationship builder Good at handling conflicts and building trust A source of motivation and inspiration to others Able to delegate and empower others to take action Excellent coaching skills Able to provide difficult feedback in a constructive way Able to ensure a healthy, engaging, and inclusive work environment The department waiting for you You will be part of the Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) department. - Via facilitation and feedback ensure that Agile teams are constantly evaluating own efficiency and taking corrective actions when improvement opportunities are identified
- Provide collaborative leadership to Agile teams by applying Agile practices (such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe) and to help team members embrace and practice the values and principles of Agile
- Support the Product Owner and Agile teams in their efforts to facilitate a healthy team dynamic within teams and vis-à-vis other teams
- Work with stakeholders to understand needed future capabilities, and in cooperation with Agile teams, People Leaders and others, ensure build-up of these capabilities
- Provide overall leadership for Agile teams within deliveries
- Coach Agile team members incl. Product Owners
- Coach stakeholders to adopt Agile ways of working
- Help ensure a healthy team environment – help resolve conflicts and drive motivation in Agile teams
- Provide feedback on performance of Agile team members to People Leaders and cooperate on long term career planning
- Work with Agile teams and other stakeholders to help solve impediments
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and dependencies
- Apply organisational understanding and power to solve impediments quickly
- Maintain relevant team metrics and follow-up on team measurements
- Facilitate and support the Agile team to deliver according to agreements
- Actively work with Product Owners to qualify backlogs and demos
- Help Agile teams prepare for events
- Evaluate future backlog to ensure availability of people and budgets
- Make sure that team norms are exhibited, including, but not limited to, priority driven workflow, realistic and executable iteration loading, and limited work-in-progress practices
- Establish and follow up on business cases and budgets
- In cooperation with procurement drive vendor selection and negotiations
- Vendor management and performance follow-up
