Lead Software Engineer for Data Mesh Are you passionate about using data to improve patient lives? Join our growing area of 30+ technology experts in AI and Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE), located in Data Management & Analytics, GlobalIT, taking on a key role in scaling data mesh and our #BringDataToLife mission. The position As a lead data product engineer, you will contribute to all stages of the data products development lifecycle from creating and refining data product strategy, to working in data product discovery and in data product enablement teams and creating platform components needed to scale our data marketplace. Work with the data product portfolio management, data producers and consumers across the business, engineers and the data infrastructure Product Owner to; Partner with LoB to build, automate and maintain data products Engage with stakeholders (data scientists, cloud developers, business experts) to convert their needs to acceptance criteria and mature our platforms Serve as technological backbone across Novo Nordisk regarding the use of AWS and function as a cross-organisational subject matter expert on productionising cloud-based data solutions Do technology scouting & due diligence and advise management as well as colleagues on strategy and tech solutions And of course, programming! The p osition is primarily located in Bagsværd, with flexible working options. As you will be working in a global environment, you must expect some meetings to take place outside Danish working hours and some travel activity.
Qualifications If you want to combine deep engineering experience with an interest in data/ML/AI, we are looking for someone, who has: 8+ years’ professional experience, ideally from a similar position as a company internal or external tech-consultant MSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar Experience in creating scalable cloud/data/ML solutions combined with experience in various team and people structures Hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions (ideally AWS and its managed services) Proficiency in at least one CI/CD solution and interest/experience in IaC (e.g. AWS CDK, CloudFormation) Experience with test-driven development, test-automation and agile processes Solid programming experience in Python, Go, or similar languages Good understanding of commonly used design patterns and SOLID principles Experience with mentoring and/or coaching of junior colleagues Excellent ability to translate business needs to technical solutions Plus: Experience from working in large regulated industries Plus: Experience building microservices or serverless applications Plus: Experience in working across the lifecycle of ML or data-intensive applications, all the way from deployment to operations (“MLOps”) Plus: Entrepreneurial spirit who is structured, proactive and independent About the department We are a team of data scientists, analysts, machine learning engineers and developers, partnering across the organisation to deliver impactful end to end data products, analytics and ML solutions spanning from Research, to Commercial and Production. We want to industrialise and democratise the way we do analytics, reducing the lead time from PoC to Production with scalable data platforms, MLOps, reference architectures and modularised components that span across the whole data and ML lifecycle.
