The position You will be responsible for driving one of our key development projects in Novo Nordisk forward and take active part in the scientific and strategic evaluation of entering into new indications with our compound, CagriSema. The key responsibilities include: Represent Biostatistics independently in several cross-functional fora as we are entering into new therapeutic areas Proactively engage in scientific discussions and recommendations regarding innovative clinical trial designs, relevant data and endpoints, sample size considerations, and calculations Evaluating advanced statistical methodologies In your daily work, you will collaborate with e.g. medical specialists, clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, market access, health technology assessment etc. It is therefore important that you clearly communicate statistical concepts and ideas to all our stakeholders including project vice presidents and the corporate vice president. You will not be directly involved in the clinical trial conduct but rather oversee the project as a whole while mentoring less experienced colleagues and ensuring progress on a portfolio level. Within Biostatistics you will be working closely with the international project statistician who has the overall scientific responsibility for our deliverables. For the right candidate, we offer the opportunity to work mostly home-based from one of our European location. Qualifications The ideal candidate should have: Strong background in mathematics and statistics +5 years of experience within clinical or bio-statistical research Experience in a pharmaceutical company It will be a strong advantage if you have: Experience in project management and supervision of colleagues Experience with SAS, R or other programming languages On a personal level, you are open, curious, and solution-oriented. About the department Our Biostatistics organisation is 250 people strong where the majority is located in Denmark and India, but with smaller teams in China, Japan, Spain, UK and US as well. Primarily we perform our statistical work in-house, thus we offer a wide variety of statistical tasks and challenges and provide a large scientific community.
