As Senior R&D Test Engineer, your main responsibilities are to:
  • lead and manage several test tracks: manage requirements, define test cases, evaluate existing data, plan and design verification activities, coordinate and delegate tasks, drive complex technical problem solving, and ensure timely project deliverables
  • act as strategic partner to the device project or platform team by facilitating project decisions on test programmes and suggesting solutions to mitigate project risks
  • be subject matter expert for one or more test processes by building up and disseminating knowledge and ensuring training of other test engineers in that area
  • identify improvement opportunities and drive strategic initiatives in order to develop the way we work to support our business goals
  • actively establish best practise and share knowledge in the team and to stakeholders
  • act on behalf of the test department across several areas in Novo Nordisk
  • author test protocols and reports, covering explorative testing, design verification tests and stability tests
  • You will be working in collaboration with the project teams to use your interpersonal skills to challenge status quo while focusing on solutions and opportunities. Further, you will engage in and contribute to a continuous high professional passion and engagement within the test engineering team.
    Qualifications We believe the ideal candidate for the position meets the following requirements:
  • You hold an academic degree within Engineering (e.g. biomedical or mechanical) or similar
  • You have minimum 4-6 years of experience working with medical device test planning, data analysis and reporting, or similar transferable experience
  • You have work experience within medical device development, design control processes for medical devices, or development of drug-device combination products
  • You have solid experience in leading projects or initiatives
  • Your language proficiency in both written and spoken English is at a professional level
  • It is an advantage if you:
  • have acquired knowledge of test standards, equipment and/or method validations and how to navigate in a GMP-regulated environment
  • have a proven record of driving process improvements and/or establishing training of others.
  • As a person, you are proactive, have a ‘can do’ attitude and drive problem solving. In your work you maintain a good overview while ensuring that the important details are in place. You contribute to a positive work atmosphere, and you have a track record of successful collaboration towards realising shared objectives. You have an analytical mindset and can easily navigate in the intersection between data, people and processes. About the department
    You will join the Experiments & Design Verification department, situated in Devices and Delivery Solutions (DDS), a business unit within the global Development organisation and located in Hillerød in the greater Copenhagen area with state-of-the-art R&D facilities. DDS innovate and develop the most innovative medical devices for the entire portfolio of Novo Nordisk’s pharmaceutical products. In Experiments & Design Verification, we are responsible for explorative testing, development of test methods and design verification testing of injection devices and new connected and innovative solutions for drug delivery. Our work is a key part of the device development process, we collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, and we strive for excellence in everything we do. You will get around 14 passionate team colleagues with different international backgrounds, including test engineers, method validation engineers, laboratory technicians and specialists.
