Maersk Container Industry (MCI) is looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to strengthen our internal team, working on the existing and future Star Cool Reefer system. We offer
As a Hardware Engineer you will join our Star Cool System Control Department and be part of a team of Senior Project Managers, Data Analysts, Refrigeration Specialist, Software- and Hardware Engineers.
The team is working on the development of next generation of refrigerated containers and our new IoT service, Sekstant. Sekstant is a gateway and connectivity solution that is fundamentally changing the way reefer container operators connect with and manage their transport chain.

Key responsibilities
You will be part of the development of our next generation reefer controller including the continued development of our gateway and other electronic products.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
• Act as technical lead for various electronic projects (lead product development activities)
• Work with external suppliers to review design proposals
• Apply relevant industry standards to product design including design verification and validation.
• Design and review schematics
• Perform development test of PCBA
• Drive new product ideas
• Ensure that product design and design documentation is done according to MCIs requirements
• Translate product and system strategy into features and requirements.
• Create and maintain product requirement specification
We are looking for
To qualify for the position as Hardware Engineer, expect that you hold a master or a bachelor’s degree in electronics or related areas.
Your proven experience should include:
• Experience with PCB design software tools, preferably Altium.
• Several years of hands-on design experience (Schematics, layout and testing)
• Several years of practical experience with embedded industrial system development, from specification to release of product
• Experience in the whole project lifecycle (from initiation to launch of product)
• Experience with electronic manufacturing service (EMS)
• Experience with electronic component production and procurement
