We have a vacant full-time position as VP, Operations and Strategy Execution in the Global Drug Discovery (GDD) area. Position & Department GDD is a central area in ‘Research & Early Development’ at [xxxxx]. As a VP, Operations and Strategy Execution, you will oversee operations to enable GDD to meet its strategic aspirations and drive the digital agenda across GDD. Moreover, you will also be responsible for strategic communication for the SVP and GDD leadership team in support of the SVP and GDD agenda, and for leading the GDD Executive Office. You will be responsible for providing support in shaping an driving the SVP agenda with GDD and outside GDD with key Novo Nordisk stakeholders, and act as a sparring partner and executive advisor to the SVP on business challenges, opportunities, and priorities. This will also require driving business initiatives across the SVP area on behalf of and in close alignment with the SVP. Moreover, you will lead the GDD Executive Office and design and improve business processes within GDD. You will be an inspirational leader who coaches, motivates, and develops a diverse team of approximately 25 people with 3-4 direct reports. You will challenge the status quo and nurture an environment that encourages creativity and innovation and a pragmatic risk-balanced compliance mindset. Close and constructive collaboration with colleagues, including leaders from a range of scientific disciplines and organisations, is essential to success. You build and maintain trusting relationships and facilitate cross-functional collaboration through flexibility and co-creation with stakeholders in- and outside [xxxxx]. Qualifications You have a relevant university degree (economics, business administration, social sciences, engineering, or biological, medical, or pharmaceutical science, etc.), a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience working within strategy, project/programme management, or as chief of staff in the pharmaceutical industry; alternatively, a successful track record from a consulting firm, preferably having worked within healthcare. You are fluent in oral and written English and Danish and have excellent communication skills. You thrive working in a complex inter-disciplinary organization with a diverse and inclusive culture, and you have a strongly collaborative approach, engagement and an open mind, combined with determination to make a difference.
