As Raw Material Scientist, you will take on the responsibility for raw materials used in all of our API’s in Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD). You will be working in a dynamic cGMP environment with a broad range of stakeholders located in different functional areas such as late-phase development, sourcing operations and quality control. You will apply your technical expertise to risk manage and continuously optimise a wide variety of raw materials such as chemical reagents, enzymes, solvents and cultivation medias. Daily tasks will include:
  • Technical assessments and risk management of raw materials
  • Late-phase transfers of raw materials in connection with validation and commercialisation of new API products
  • Provide expert inputs to quality and stability issue for raw materials
  • Active participation in cross organizational process-group and category meetings, establishing and maintaining the quality framework for how Novo Nordisk works with raw materials
  • Support production with optimisation and innovation related to their usage and handling of raw materials
  • Qualifications
    To succeed in this position, you have:
  • A Master’s degree within a scientific field such as biotechnology, chemistry, biology, or similar
  • 4+ years’ experience working in pharma
  • Experience working in cross functional projects and a broad range of stakeholders. You might have been working as a project manager
  • Full professional proficiency in English

    Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) is part of Novo Nordisk Product Supply. In BRD we are not only supplying all Novo Nordisk products for Rare Diseases, but also using our competences in Biotech to support the growing efforts into completely new production platforms and therapy areas for Novo Nordisk. You will become part of a team consisting of 13 ambitious colleagues in the Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) API Manufacturing and Development department all supporting life cycle management of our API’s.
