The role and its responsibilities In Operational Technology we recently launched our Agile Release Train focused on building, validating, deploying and maintaining an enterprise Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) solution – eSCADA. To facilitate this continuous transformation, we are looking for a Release Train Engineer who will be responsible for the processes in the Agile release train (ART), where our current focus is on optimising the way we work. Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Driving, facilitating, and executing Program Increment (PI) planning, scrum of scrum, system demos and other agile events
  • Contributing to financial decision making and be responsible for the controlling and to operate within ART budgets as well as managing the value flow throughout the programme
  • Managing the program risks and resolve or escalate impediments and drive continuous improvement
  • Coaching ART members and leaders and encourage collaboration between teams. Managing estimations and metrics, and monitoring alignment to roadmap and vision is also part of your skillset
  • The skills we hope to see We are looking for a professional with an agile mindset who is accomplished in driving, facilitating and executing agile methodologies and activities. As an ideal candidate you have:
  • A Bachelor`s or Master`s degree within a relevant field
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT management as a SAFe Release Train Engineer
  • Proficiency in Agile and Lean methodologies including SCRUM, Kanban and SAFe, and enjoy training and coaching ART members accordingly
  • Deep understanding in change, risk and budget management
  • Leadership experience from previous agile roles (project or product manager) and a proven track record for making teams work well together
  • As our corporate language is English, we expect you to be fluent both in writing and spoken. On a personal level, you are disciplined and can easily navigate between changing initiatives and activities on operational and strategic level. Besides, you are a great communicator with outstanding stakeholder management skills which helps you to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation from many different backgrounds and nationalities. What team to join You will join our Operational Technology team which is part of our Digital, Data & IT (DD&IT) community in Novo Nordisk. The team is responsible for implementing, developing, supporting, and maintaining a newly developed SCADA system across our production sites globally in Novo Nordisk.
