The position
As a Sourcing Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be to: Drive sourcing projects from initial idea to implementation Ensure a structured process is applied to all sourcing events, based on standard ways of working but tailored to the individual projects Conduct negotiations with suppliers based on TCO-models, market analysis, and demand forecasts Collaborate closely with Category Managers, Legal Counsels and other team members Support the development of sourcing best practices as well as deliver knowledge and coaching on sourcing processes to Strategic Sourcing colleagues. Your success will depend on your ability to bridge the needs of the organization and the availabilities of the market, creating the best supply solutions for Novo Nordisk. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop skills within sourcing and project management in a growing department. Some travel activity is to be expected, however, travel activities are not likely to exceed 20 days per year and working from home a few days a week is common practice.
Qualifications
In order to be considered, we expect you to: Hold a M.Sc. degree in business administration, supply chain management, industrial engineering or equivalent Have experience in driving sourcing projects and supplier negotiations or alternatively project management and/or consultancy experience Have a strategic mindset and an ability to quickly understand different business models and industry dynamics Be analytical and comfortable dealing with quantitative data Be fluent in both written and spoken English. As a person, you naturally take responsibility for driving projects forward, interacting with stakeholders at all levels and across a complex stakeholder landscape. You communicate clearly and concisely, and you are comfortable in giving presentations. You like to impact decision-making through giving clear recommendations, always founded on solid data and analysis. Additionally, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’ and always act as a team player. About the department
Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division responsible for the sourcing of all raw materials, finished products and outsourced manufacturing enabling Novo Nordisk’s worldwide supply of pharmaceutical products. Through collaboration with our global supplier network, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products which help millions of people around the world to better live with chronical diseases. Further, we are instrumental in driving our sustainability aspirations across the supplier network.
You will join our Sourcing, Negotiation & Contract Management department. We are a dedicated group of people with strong experience in running tenders and negotiating high profile contracts.
